I grew up in Shandong province on a little farm where it grew everything we ate. My inspiration to become an acupuncturist came from my aunt, who was, what we call in China, a “barefoot doctor.” People from our community would come to our house to receive her treatments. They arrived looking distressed but always left with a sense of relief on their faces. I was impressed by the way my aunt could make such a difference for her patients. I wanted to make the same kind of difference to help people feel better.
I entered Shandong College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2004 when I was 15 years old. After moving to the US in 2009, I continued my studies at Alhambra Medical University of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, graduating in 2013 and becoming a licensed acupuncturist the same year. In 2016, I got my Ph.D. degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Dongguk University.
My goal is to help people find relief for body and mind through the natural remedies of Chinese traditional medicine.
